Ask as a user in the US or Canada, next to the answer at home
The free AI Visibility Checker can put your brand question to ChatGPT, Perplexity and Claude as a user in the country you pick, and show that answer beside the one for your home market. Gemini is not asked by country, and the result says so instead of passing its answer off as local.

Starting from: 🇧🇷 Brazil · 🇩🇪 Germany · 🇫🇷 France · 🇯🇵 Japan · 🇰🇷 Korea · 🇨🇳 China
If you built your product in São Paulo, Berlin, Paris, Tokyo, Seoul or Shenzhen, the way you have been checking your AI search visibility has a blind spot: you have been asking from home. Answer engines take the asker's location into account, so the answer your team reads is the answer for your home market — not the one a buyer in the US or Canada gets when they ask the same question.
The engine answers for where the question comes from
When ChatGPT, Perplexity or Claude search the web to answer, they are told roughly where the person asking is. That changes which sources they reach for: local publications, local directories, local competitors. A brand that is cited reliably at home can be missing from the answer a North American buyer reads, and nothing on your side of the border will show it.
Here is what that looks like in the shape of a checker result. This is an example, not a measurement — the brand is invented and the cells are illustrative:
| Example: "What is Acme Contratos?" | Asked from Brazil | Asked from the US |
|---|---|---|
| ChatGPT | Cited — acmecontratos.com.br | Not cited — answer describes a different "Acme" |
| Perplexity | Cited — acmecontratos.com.br | Not cited — cites a US directory listing |
| Claude | Cited — acmecontratos.com.br | Cited — acmecontratos.com.br |
| Gemini | Not asked by country — same answer in both columns | Not asked by country |
The two columns are the point: the same question, the same day, two markets, and a gap you cannot see from home.
Your name may already belong to someone there
The second problem is not about location settings at all. A name that is unique in your home market can already mean something else to an engine in North America. These are real shapes we have seen when running brand questions, with the brands left unnamed:
- A Brazilian legal tech company, asked about in English, lost the answer to a psychology society and an event that share its name.
- A new
.aiproduct was pushed out of the answer by a UK foundation with the same name. - A SaaS brand collided with a rapper.
- An insurance brand collided with a dog breed.
In each case the engine was not wrong about the world — it answered about the thing it knew best under that name. Before you spend on a launch, it is worth knowing which of those shapes you are walking into.
Check it yourself
This is what TriRank does for a team heading into North America, and only what exists today:
- A free side-by-side check. Pick the market you are entering and your home market; the checker asks ChatGPT, Perplexity and Claude as a user in each and shows whether your domain is cited in both answers. Gemini is not asked by country, and the result labels it that way.
- Tracking over time. One check is a snapshot, and AI answers vary between runs. Paid plans run your buyer questions on a schedule and log who gets cited. That sweep tracks by language (English and Chinese), not yet by country — the country comparison is the free check above.
- One action a week. Your Actions page and the weekly email each carry "This week's one action" — the next task picked from your open ones, citation gaps first — rather than a dashboard to interpret.
Check as a user in
Opened this page from one of the "Starting from" links above? The checker links carry your home market with them, so the comparison is already set up. Heading to Europe instead? See the Europe version of this page.
常见问题
How do I know if AI engines cite my brand in the US?+
Ask the engines as a user in the US rather than from your own office. The free AI Visibility Checker puts your brand question to ChatGPT, Perplexity and Claude as a US (or Canadian) user and shows whether your domain is cited, side by side with the answer for your home market.
Which engines can be asked as a user in a specific country?+
ChatGPT, Perplexity and Claude. Gemini is not asked by country, and neither is Grok on paid plans; where an engine was not asked by country, the result labels it that way rather than presenting its answer as a US answer.
Does the recurring tracking ask by country too?+
Not yet. The scheduled sweep behind paid plans tracks your queries by language (English and Chinese), not by country. Today the country-by-country comparison is the free check; we will say so on this page when that changes.
