Which favicon sizes do I need?
This pack covers the practical set: a favicon.ico containing 16, 32 and 48 px for browser tabs, a 180 px apple-touch-icon for iOS home screens, and a 512 px PNG for the web app manifest and Android.
Do I still need a .ico file?
It's still the safest default: every browser understands /favicon.ico, many tools request it blindly, and one .ico bundles multiple sizes. Modern browsers also accept PNG icons via link tags — the pack includes both.
