Best Outrank Alternatives in 2026 (Source-Checked Pricing)
Six Outrank alternatives compared on what each vendor actually publishes: SEObot, Otterly.ai, Peec AI, Profound and TriRank. Every price checked in a live browser in July 2026 — or marked as not published.
Outrank does one job well: it generates SEO articles on autopilot — its own site says "30 Articles a month generated and published on auto-pilot," at $99/month reduced from $200, publishing to WordPress, Webflow, Shopify, Ghost, Wix, Notion, Framer and a webhook. Teams start looking for alternatives for two very different reasons: they want the same article engine cheaper, or they realise volume alone is not moving the outcome they actually care about — being the source AI assistants cite.
This roundup is deliberately narrow about evidence. Every competitor figure below was read in a live browser on July 20, 2026 from the vendor's own pages. Where a vendor does not publish a number, the entry says so rather than repeating a figure from someone's blog post. And one disclosure up front: TriRank is our product — it is in the list because it belongs there, and it is labelled so you can discount it accordingly.
The field at a glance
| Tool | Published entry price | What it is for | AI citation tracking |
|---|---|---|---|
| Outrank (the baseline) | $99/month | Autonomous SEO article production | Not advertised |
| SEObot | From $49/month | Autonomous SEO article production | Not advertised |
| Otterly.ai | $29/month | Prompt monitoring across AI engines | Yes |
| Peec AI | $95/month | AI search analytics for marketing teams | Yes |
| Profound | Not published (Enterprise is "Custom") | Enterprise answer-engine analytics | Yes |
| TriRank (that's us) | $49/month | Rankings × citations join, plus content | Yes |
1. SEObot — the closest like-for-like
If you like what Outrank does and want it cheaper, SEObot is the nearest match. Its homepage positions it as a "fully autonomous «SEO Robot» with AI agents for busy founders" that "takes 100% of SEO work out of your way," and states "subscriptions start at $49/mo." It also claims to have created over 200,000 articles driving 1.2 billion impressions.
Pick it if: article throughput is the deliverable and you want a lower floor than $99/month. Watch out for: like Outrank, it is a production tool. It does not tell you whether anything it published gets cited by an AI assistant.
2. Otterly.ai — cheapest way to start monitoring
Otterly.ai monitors whether your brand and website appear across AI engines. Published pricing: Lite $29/month for 15 search prompts, Standard $189/month for 100 prompts, Premium $489/month for 400 prompts, with 15% off annually ($25 / $160 / $422 per month). Plans include ChatGPT, Google AI Overviews, Perplexity and Microsoft Copilot; Claude, Gemini and Google AI Mode are paid add-ons, and extra prompt packs are $99/month per 100. Standard and above list API access and an MCP integration. Its homepage claims 30,000+ marketing professionals.
Pick it if: you want daily prompt tracking at the lowest possible entry price. Watch out for: engine add-ons and prompt packs move the real cost well above the $29 headline, and monitoring alone does not tell you which of your existing rankings are being ignored.
3. Peec AI — analytics for a marketing team
Peec AI calls itself "AI search analytics for marketing teams." Published plans: Starter $95/month (50 prompts, 1 project), Pro $245/month (150 prompts, 2 projects), Advanced $495/month (350 prompts, 5 projects, Looker Studio), plus Enterprise on custom pricing with API, SSO and up to 11 models. Every paid plan lets you choose 3 models from ChatGPT, AI Mode, AI Overviews, Copilot, Perplexity and Gemini; additional models cost $35 / $85 / $165 per month depending on plan. The site says it is trusted by 2,500+ marketing teams.
Pick it if: you want clean competitor benchmarking and daily analytics, with Looker Studio reporting at the top tier. Watch out for: the three-model default — covering six engines means paying for add-ons on top of the plan.
4. Profound — the enterprise end
Profound targets larger organisations with answer-engine analytics: Answer Engine Insights, Agent Analytics for AI-sourced traffic attribution, Prompt Volumes, plus Profound Agents and Sheets. Its plan matrix names Starter (ChatGPT tracking only, 50 prompts), Growth (3 answer engines, 100 prompts) and Enterprise (up to 10 answer engines, SSO/SAML, SOC2, API).
On pricing we will only say what the page said to us: no per-plan price figures rendered on the pricing page when we checked it, and Enterprise is explicitly "Custom." Treat Profound as custom / enterprise pricing and get a quote.
Pick it if: you are an enterprise buyer who needs SOC2, SSO and attribution across many domains. Watch out for: API access, SSO and SOC2 sit on the Enterprise tier, and the entry tier tracks ChatGPT only. If its unpublished pricing is the sticking point, our Profound alternatives roundup covers the field with the same source-checked rule.
5. TriRank — the rankings × citations join (that's us)
Full disclosure again: this is our product. TriRank sweeps five engines — Google (Gemini grounding), ChatGPT, Perplexity, Claude and Google AI Overview, all included on every plan — and then does the thing that makes the sweep actionable: it joins those verdicts to your own Google Search Console data. The output is the citation gap: the keywords where you already rank on page one and no AI engine cites you. In one production account we looked at, 547 page-one keywords produced exactly one AI citation — the write-up is here.
Pricing is Starter $49/month and Pro $149/month, with Agency at $399/month for white-label reports. The domain diagnostic is free forever, there are 12 free tools with no account, and the MCP server exposes five read-only tools free at 500 calls per day. If you would rather buy an outcome than a subscription, there is a one-time $399 AEO audit.
Pick it if: you want to know which of your existing rankings AI ignores, and want the content work in the same place. Watch out for: no public REST API, weekly rather than daily sweeps, and publishing is WordPress-only today.
How to choose
Answer one question first: is your problem production, or citation?
If you are not publishing enough, an article engine — Outrank or SEObot — is the right category, and price per article is the honest metric. If you are publishing plenty and still not showing up in AI answers, more articles will not fix it; you need to see which engines cite whom for your questions, and that is a visibility tool.
If you land in the second camp, size the stakes before you shop: our AI visibility ROI calculator shows the arithmetic on the page, and the free diagnostic checks your own domain without an account. Then compare us head-to-head: TriRank vs Otterly.ai, TriRank vs Peec AI, or TriRank vs Outrank.
Every figure on this page carries the date it was checked. Vendors change pricing often — if you find something out of date here, tell us and we will correct it.
FAQ
What is the best alternative to Outrank? It depends which half of Outrank's job you need. If you want autonomous SEO article production, SEObot is the closest like-for-like at a lower entry price. If what you actually want is to be visible inside AI answers — the outcome Outrank markets but does not measure — then an AI visibility tool such as Otterly.ai, Peec AI or TriRank fits better.
How much does Outrank cost? Outrank publishes a single plan at $99/month, shown as reduced from $200, including 30 articles per month generated and auto-published, upgradeable to 60 or 90. Checked on outrank.so on July 20, 2026.
Which Outrank alternative tracks AI citations? Outrank does not advertise AI citation tracking. Otterly.ai, Peec AI, Profound and TriRank all do, with different scopes: Otterly.ai and Peec AI monitor prompts, Profound targets enterprise answer-engine analytics, and TriRank joins citation verdicts with your own Google Search Console rankings.
Is there a free way to check AI visibility before switching tools? Yes. TriRank's domain diagnostic is free forever and needs no account, and several vendors offer free trials. Checking your own citation gap first is worth doing before you pay anyone, because it tells you whether your problem is content volume or content that never gets cited.
