Where does the backlink data come from?
The Domain Rating comes from Ahrefs' free Domain Rating API — the industry-standard DR scale. Backlink counts and referring domains come from the DataForSEO backlinks database, one of the largest commercial link indexes. We show what each source reports, and when a value is unavailable we show a dash instead of a made-up number.
Is this backlink checker really free?

What does the Domain Rating (DR) score mean?
