About this tool
Does my log get uploaded?
No. The file is read by JavaScript in this page and folded into counts locally. There is no request to our servers carrying your log, so the IPs, referers and full URLs inside it never reach us.
Which log formats work?
The `combined` format that nginx and Apache both write, and Cloudflare Logpush's newline-delimited JSON. Apache's `common` format cannot be used: it has no User-Agent field at all, so no tool could tell an AI crawler from a person.
Which crawlers does it look for?
The published crawler User-Agents of OpenAI, Anthropic, Perplexity, Google, Mistral, Amazon, Meta, DuckDuckGo, ByteDance and Cohere. Each token is taken verbatim from the vendor's own documentation, with the date it was last read.
Does a crawler visit mean I get cited?
No, and the two are worth keeping apart. A crawler fetching a page says a bot read it. Whether an engine then cited you in an answer is a separate measurement — that is what an AI visibility check does.
